We are excited to announce that registration for RubyConf 2008 is now open! RubyConf will be held November 6-8 in Orlando, FL this year. We have a killer program including all sorts of diverse topics (music, hardware, server automation, web development). We’re also featuring a track of Ruby implementations in which we’ll hear from the implementors of each of the major Ruby implementations now in development.

The number of Ruby conferences that take place is staggering. We at Ruby Central would like to think that our Regional Conference Grant Program played a role in stimulating the current conference activity. But we won’t take any credit away from the people who have worked to make so many conferences a reality.

Gregg Pollack has collected a listing of upcoming Ruby conferences and tracks. More are always coming along, but Gregg’s list will definitely give you a start!

Ruby Central teams up once again with O’Reilly Media to present RailsConf Europe, the premiere annual gathering of Rails practitioners and experts in Europe.

There will be keynote talks by David Heinemeier Hansson and Jeremy Kemper, and a Q&A panel with DHH, Jeremy, and Michael Koziarski. And there are almost forty talks, on just about every imaginable aspect of Rails.

RubyConf 2008, the eighth annual International Ruby Conference, will be held November 6-8, 2008, at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

RubyConf 2007, the seventh International Ruby Conference and the flagship production of Ruby Central, will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, November 2-4, 2007. The cost to attend will be $250 USD. The conference will be held at the Omni Charlotte hotel, where rooms will be available to conference attendees for $109 plus tax per night. Stay tuned for further announcements about registration and talk proposals!

The call for participation for RailsConf 2007 has opened.

RailsConf 2007 will be held May 17-20 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon—and O’Reilly Media and Ruby Central are now accepting proposals for conference sessions and tutorials. Proposals are due November 27, 2006.

If you have a great idea, please do submit it.

Ruby Central has announced the Regional Conference Grant Program 2006. If you or your Ruby users group wants funding for a regional event, have a look at the guidelines and requirements.
